While the country doesn’t want mass tourism, it needed help attracting mindful explorers and further establishing itself as a leader in green travel…HoneyTrek was perfect for the job! As couples travel influencers with a focus on sustainability, the Howards came to Slovenia to showcase the wonders of the region with an e-vehicle road trip and robust storytelling campaign. They used the tourism board’s Green Scheme principles and programs as their guiding force, highlighting the country’s most unforgettable destinations from the Alps to the sea. Sharing their getaway across HoneyTrek’s website, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter, their content reached upwards of 300,000 people and garnered over 10,000 positive engagements. By visibly @mentioning Slovenia in their social content, HoneyTrek boosted the following, engagement, and awareness of this underrated European country and helped more travelers mobilize their journey to one of The World’s Most Sustainable & Romantic Destinations.

Showcasing the diversity of landscapes, cuisine, accommodations, and adventures, they prove there is so much to offer in this tiny country and that it’s all easily within reach on a 7-10-day trip. Sharing practical advice, interesting anecdotes, and heartfelt stories from their wanderings, this HoneyTrek blog serves as an evergreen resource for anyone curious about traveling to Slovenia. In the first two months, the blog has received 19,825 viewers, and with HoneyTrek’s domain authority of 53, it will continue to reach travelers, and bestow SEO juice, for years to come.

In addition to creating content for the HoneyTrek audience, the Howards were happy to co-create an episode of the FEEL Slovenia Podcast. Instagram Stories
Going above and beyond the proposed 30 Instagram Stories, HoneyTrek created 65 pieces of multi-media content on this platform, with Facebook syndication. HoneyTrek’s video and photography, adorned with stylized captions, animated graphics, and drawings, prompted 72,426 views and 2,765 interactions across both IG & FB. Rather than let the IG Stories disappear after 24 hours, HoneyTrek created this Slovenia Highlight Reel which will remain live on their Instagram wall for our travel audience’s future trip planning.
HoneyTrek Gives Back
For every editorial and marketing campaign that HoneyTrek executes, the Howards promote, personally volunteer, and donate 5% of gross revenue to nonprofits that benefit the regions and communities they visit. In Slovenia, they helped the following organizations: Ecologists without Borders (Slovenian foundation for zero waste) and The Slovenian Beekeeping Association, the oldest nonprofit for bee preservation. By donating and driving awareness to these causes, HoneyTrek hopes to set an example for influencers, tourism boards, and travelers alike to make giving back a part of any well-rounded trip.
