Surfing Portugal

When you think of Portugal do you imagine the fairy tale castles of Lisbon? Vineyards tumbling down the Duoro Valley? The dramatic sea cliffs of the Algarve? Port Wine or maybe Porto Football Club? Well, now you can add surf beaches to the list of reasons to visit Europe’s southwest gem…

Our friends over at the Surf Channel put together this amazing video of Garrett McNamara surfing quite possibly the largest wave ever ridden in none other than…Nazare, Portugal.

So if you are looking to catch some waves, Momondo put together a solid info-graphic of the best breaks up and down the coast of Portugal. Check it out and hang ten!
