Our trip planning is a work in progress. We’d love your recommendations on towns, excursions, restaurants, lodging, or anything you think would be helpful during our stay in the Seychelles.

The Seychelles is paradise on earth, a couple of tropical islands that have remained in some parts untouched by civilization. Having visited in April 2011, I would recommend:

    1. Explore the Anse Major Trail. I was blown away by this northern part of Mahe, which is inside the Morne Seychellois National Park. My own experience with Anse Major can be read in detail at: http://dreamseychellesholidays.com/hiking-to-anse-majore/

2.Visit La Digue: take the Cat Cocos from Mahe to Praslin, then the boat to La Digue, to discover an idyllic island where all transportation is done through bicycles. Also, La Digue has arguably the best beaches in Seychelles.

    3. Eat at Lounge 8 on Mahe. It is a bit pricey, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

It is paradise on earth – set aside some time to really get away from civilization in Seychelles, to explore the national parks and the marine parks, and you will be amazed by its natural beauty. For me it was a revelation, and now I am obsessed with the islands 🙂
